Marketing Multiple Domains to Deliver Heating and Air Conditioning Comfort

We’re well into summer here in Texas, and things are heating up quickly and quite early.

I don’t know if we’ll set record-breaking numbers for triple-digit weather, but things appears to be on track for such a possibility.

Most recently I dedicated a weekend to cleaning our 11-year old air conditioning units in hopes of each lasting one or two more summers before needing to be replaced.

I was fortunate to have cool, overcast weather that weekend to have been able to power off sections at a time of our house.  All in all, it took about 1.5 hours for each system, including disassembly, cleaning, and re-assembly.

Afterwards, both units operated as efficient as they could to be for 11 years old, blowing cool air inside while the temperature inched a few degrees away from triple-digit weather.

This was all good until about a week or so ago when I received the dreaded call from my wife about the upstairs AC unit NO LONGER blowing cold air. ?

Weekends often fly by when your having fun, especially this past weekend as I attended a Men’s Retreat.

I kicked off this past weekend by getting on the road and heading to T Bar M Camps & Retreats for my home church’s, Mosaic Church Austin, annual Men’s Retreat.

I managed to escape Austin’s nightmarish traffic to head south to New Braunfels, Texas.

In route, I spotted quite a few domains being advertised across various media that I’ll likely write about in the coming weeks and months.

Sharing faith and growing your church using domain names

Although it’s sad to admit, churches are often quite behind when it comes to embracing and harnessing the power of technology to share their faith.

Fortunately, I’m grateful to be an active member of a church in the eclectic city of Austin where only roughly 16% of the population actively attends church.

Our church embraces technology and does a decent job effectively using domains to share the Gospel and draw awareness to the Gospel in general.

I’m always amazed and encourage to encounter churches embracing domains to grow their church as well as share the Gospel.

Welcome back!  As I was in search of a sporting event the night we arrived home from the hospital after the arrival of our beautiful baby girl, I encountered MLB game.

Not much of a baseball fan outside of the Texas Rangers, I decided to let channel surfing rest and watch a few innings.

As innings progressed, I took notice of a billboard behind home plate.

Although present, it wan’t the normal MLB team domain name that was on display as the main attraction and that caught my eye.

Just the other day while watching TV, I happened to be channel surfing and an interesting thing occurred.

As I was trying to make myself a birdie and fly far away from the captivity of toddler cartoons, I happened to land on Dr. Charles Stanley’s, senior pastor of First Baptist Church in northern Atlanta, Georgia, InTouch Ministries TV segment.

As I’ve read a few of Dr. Stanley’s books, heard his son Andy speak a time or two, and caught a few of Dr. Stanley’s sermons, I decided to allow channel surfing to cease once I realized it was him.

And before we go any further, No, I’m not going to pepper you with his sermon (although it was good enough to share, as it is always).

But as Dr. Stanley taught and shared the word of God, I was attentively listening when a domain name flashed onto the screen in the lower left-hand corner.

While watching the news and hoping for a rain-free weather forecast a few nights ago, I spotted a local austin company using a .PRO domain name.

I typically encounter .com, .net and .org domains for just about 90 percent of the commercials aired.

Although I’m not a fan of uppercased domain usage when advertising, as it’s too hard on the eyes to read and make out distinct wording, I was quite amazed to see Real Green make use of the .PRO in their televised commercial.
