June Events In Austin Using Great Domains

Reading Time | 3 Minutes

Before I call it a day and put and end to this work week, I wanted to quickly share a few Austin events for the month of June that are using great domains (in my opinion).

Everyone that lives or visits Austin knows that there are multiple events every weekend, especially since Austin is known as the “Live Music Capital of the World”.

There’s not a weekend that I can think of that Austin runs short on events or things to do.

Real Green Pest and Lawn Services Goes .PRO

While watching the news and hoping for a rain-free weather forecast a few nights ago, I spotted a local austin company using a .PRO domain name.

I typically encounter .com, .net and .org domains for just about 90 percent of the commercials aired.

Although I’m not a fan of uppercased domain usage when advertising, as it’s too hard on the eyes to read and make out distinct wording, I was quite amazed to see Real Green make use of the .PRO in their televised commercial.

GoDaddy Flare - Where great ideas gather

In the latest tech and small biz news, I recently saw GoDaddy launched a new mobile app aimed at helping people to vet their ideas for business.

GoDaddy’s calling this new and FREE community for sharing and rating business ideas Flare, and making it available via mobile app ONLY.

If you’re an Android user, you’ll have to wait for the June release.  iOS is ready for download.

How does Flare work? Think of this app as a cross between Shark Tank, LinkedIn and Tinder.

I know you’re already wondering what type of company I’m referencing today, right?

I can hear you as I type, “What is atrial fibrillation treatment?”

In short, atrial fibrillation is an irregular, often rapid heart rate that commonly causes poor blood flow.

Untreated, atrial fibrillation leads to two major complications: stroke and heart failure. Not good by any stretch of the imagination.

Now that you know, there are quite a few companies that specialize in atrial fibrillation treatment.

Recently, I’ve seen a certain company’s commercials, as well as its competition, more than a few times.

In total transparency, I highly dislike some, if not all, of the commercials and medications because of the side effects seeming to cause more harm than help.

But that’s a personal opinion and I’m digressing as a fast rate.

I received an email as well as saw a few posts on Twitter about GoDaddy’s latest and newest marketing campaign: Go You. GoDaddy.

As for the new “Go You” campaign, which GoDaddy was wise enough to purchase GoYouGoDaddy.com and redirect it to it’s main website, GoDaddy’s focus is on helping it’s target market achieve the following:

  • Get started with a business
  • Attract and retain customers
  • Stay organized while growing

GoDaddy gets Super Bowl right with PuppetsByGwen.com!

GoDaddy has long been known for their raunchy and unadulterated Super Bowl commercials to say the least. Just run a search for previous Godaddy Super Bowl commercials and you’ll see.

But this year, Godaddy did something that even I didn’t expect for GoDaddy to do: make a tasteful, value-add commercial.

Of course the Godaddy spray tan commercial which I personally don’t think people, especially small business owners, will understand that GoDaddy offers domain names, website hosting, and website design and builder services for small businesses.

In my humble opinion, this commercial makes GoDaddy appear to offer a tanning spray service and not a technology business offering domain names, email and web hosting, website design, and SEO services.
