Today’s post caught me by surprise, to say the least.

As you should know by now, I keep my iPhone or iPad near me at all times when watching TV, primarily when watching the news and more specifically, the weather forecast.

Yes, I know that I can simply pull up the weather using an app or my trusty old iPhone.

However, there is just something about hearing it live and watching a person guess wrong 80% of the time and still keep their job. Weather reporting is seriously a sweet gig! But I digress…

But before I call it a day, I wanted to share with you a few local Austin events using domains to increase awareness for their event.

The first event I happened to see while waiting for the 10 o’clock news weather forecast.

I had to share this quick post with you today as I was quite surprised, yet impressed by a non-profit or religious organization’s use of a domain to celebrate Resurrection Day 2016, also known as Easter by some.

I happened to be watching tv when I caught Good Friday 2016’s advertisement.  I wasn’t really aware of what it was or who was hosting it.

GoDaddy gets Super Bowl right with PuppetsByGwen.com!

GoDaddy has long been known for their raunchy and unadulterated Super Bowl commercials to say the least. Just run a search for previous Godaddy Super Bowl commercials and you’ll see.

But this year, Godaddy did something that even I didn’t expect for GoDaddy to do: make a tasteful, value-add commercial.

Of course the Godaddy spray tan commercial which I personally don’t think people, especially small business owners, will understand that GoDaddy offers domain names, website hosting, and website design and builder services for small businesses.

In my humble opinion, this commercial makes GoDaddy appear to offer a tanning spray service and not a technology business offering domain names, email and web hosting, website design, and SEO services.
