Leaving from church yesterday, I decided to go a different route than sit in traffic from crossover to Mosaic and Gateway attendees.
As I was waiting to make a right onto McNeil Road from Pecan Street to head eastbound, I spotted a simple 7-Letter, 2-Word domain that I had passed hundreds of times over the last 10 or so years and not recognized it.
As I would soon find out, JawPain.com is the digital presence of Dale M. Gallagher, DDS — Austin-based surgeon specializing in providing high-quality oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures that enable a person to smile confidently and without pain.
It’s crazy that I’ve never noticed the sign and domain having traveled passed it to and from church and various locations in the vicinity.
Nevertheless, I think the use of JawPain.com is an interesting selection for a surgeon that specializes in the following services:
- Temporomandibular Joints (TMJ) Disorders
- Jaw Surgery
- Dental Implants
- Wisdom Teeth
- Tooth Extractions
- Oral Pathology
One would think, as I did initially, that JawPain would be a useless domain when in comparison to using a geo service domain targeting dentist, dental, and dentistry.
But upon further review of the JawPain.com website, I then discovered what a jewel of a domain JawPain.com is search the interest over time for 5 years using Google Trends. Check out that trend! ?
In addition and based on 138 million results for “jaw pain”, I believe Dr. Gallagher has hit the keyword jackpot that best represents his business of jaw pain removal and restoration.
Although JawPain.com is a developed, mobile-friendly website, I certainly recommend he and his staff add more effort in the area of content marketing.
I believe focused content marketing, specifically blogging and videos, would provide an opportunity for greater search ranking across major search engines.
Finally, I suggest Dr. Gallagher register his name and variations of it to protect his personal brand as every small business owner should:
In closing, congrats to Dr. Gallagher securing, developing, and using such a powerful and industry-defining keyword domain to represent his business: JawPain.com.
