Now that things are somewhat quieting down from the holidays, I was able to do a bit of end of year cleaning.

I’ve tidied up my office a bit and managed to wrangle my email inbox into a somewhat manageable state to start the new year off right.

As I clean up my inbox, I ran across old a collage of photos I snapped one morning while at Rudy’s meeting a group of Christian men in our bi-weekly Entrepreneurial Council.

A Christmas Pie Worth Talking About

Well, Christmas has come and gone just like that, in a twinkle of an eye.

The Christmas tree sits bare with gifts no longer underneath it, and discarded boxes and wrapping paper are not far behind.

Toys have been played with and meals have been had or soon to be. And oh what meals we’ve had with dinner soon on the way.

What a joy it’s been to celebrate the birth of Christ with family, friends, and neighbors this season.

Speaking of neighbors, one of my neighbors so graciously shared a gift that has me writing at this at this very moment.

Indeed, “Christmas time is here…Happiness and cheer[.]” It’s certainly fun for all that children their favorite time of the year.

Christmas is one of the House of Brown’s most favorite holidays to experience collectively.

And just like the peanuts gang sings yearly, we’ve had snowflakes in the Austin air. We’ve sang carols everywhere while keeping to olden times and ancient rhymes of love and dreams too share.

We’ve taken trips to nativity scenes and Christmas light shows as well as enjoy our kiddos participating in their school programs.

What a week we had last week when our regularly scheduled Texas weather was interrupted with an early white Christmas for one night.

The snow and ice have long melted, but the ole’ Christmas Spirit is alive and well here in Austin, Texas.

Having a joyous night out at Main Street Bethlehem a few weeks back, my family and I ventured towards Lake Austin to take in the Christmas Light experience Sponsored by Mozart’s and Hula Hut.

I’m always amazed by the variety of domains encountered on a daily basis as I live out life in Austin, and various travels throughout the world.

Encountering quite a few domains across a wide range of extensions in the physical world, I’m often more amazed to see companies legitimately using new domain extensions in the virtual world, especially when using email.

It’s been long thought that a majority of new domain extensions would crash and burn, or never see the day of light.

I last left you as we pulled into the Chick-Fi-La in Waco, Texas to stretch our legs and fill our bellies with breakfast.

Bellies are from Chick-Fi-La, potty breaks have been had, and hearts are all played out and ready for a mid-morning nap as we continue our trek to spend Thanksgiving in Sherman, Texas.

Many Americans will head out on the highways and byways this Thanksgiving to partake of good ole turkey and dressing, the timeless fruitcake and make a memories (hopefully good ones) with family and friends.

Our family is no exception. It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since we last celebrated Thanksgiving with my side of the family in hustling and bustling metropolis of Sherman, Texas.

My family and I chose to travel bright and early the day before Thanksgiving, hoping to avoid the bumper-to-bumper gridlock that can occur from time to time along highways 35 and 75.

Fortunately our 5-hour trip was smooth sailing and without incident. In fact, I consider the trip a goldmine with the added bonus of all the domain encounters I’ll soon share.
