Well, it’s that time of year. The leaves have long changed colors and fallen to the ground.
Along with mulit-color lights arrives familiar holiday classic compositions.
And as the House of Brown transitions from Thanksgiving to warmly embracing Christmas and all it has to offer, we took a trip one-hour northwest to the city of Burnet, Texas.
A few days ago, I stumbled upon a tweet posted by ChurchTechToday.com.
Their tweet was interesting because it questioned which newly released domain extension is “right” for churches to promote their ministry.
I last left you as we pulled into the Chick-Fi-La in Waco, Texas to stretch our legs and fill our bellies with breakfast.
Bellies are from Chick-Fi-La, potty breaks have been had, and hearts are all played out and ready for a mid-morning nap as we continue our trek to spend Thanksgiving in Sherman, Texas.
Many Americans will head out on the highways and byways this Thanksgiving to partake of good ole turkey and dressing, the timeless fruitcake and make a memories (hopefully good ones) with family and friends.
Our family is no exception. It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since we last celebrated Thanksgiving with my side of the family in hustling and bustling metropolis of Sherman, Texas.
My family and I chose to travel bright and early the day before Thanksgiving, hoping to avoid the bumper-to-bumper gridlock that can occur from time to time along highways 35 and 75.
Fortunately our 5-hour trip was smooth sailing and without incident. In fact, I consider the trip a goldmine with the added bonus of all the domain encounters I’ll soon share.
One of the first things a typical domain investor learns is to stay away from alphanumeric domains and to strictly focus on .com domains.
This is not to state that there are not alphanumeric .com domains worth investing in. In fact, there are a few alphanumeric domain combinations, albeit a small pool, that are worth investing.
However, most alphanumeric .com domains are not worth purchasing as domain investments, depending on the letters and numbers used, and their respective positions.
Nevertheless, I was working this past week when I heard external commotion adjacent to my office wall. This particular wall is an exterior wall exposed to an adjacent nursery and landscaping company.
It was another fun-filled weekend of Town and Country Soccer. If you remember in my last post, I thought summer had passed.
Boy was I wrong about that! It was quite hot this past weekend, especially for a 1:30 pm soccer game for 4-6 year olds. Nevertheless, our little team did well.
They did have to substitute a bit more due to the heat, and we had a few heat-related crying episodes on the sidelines too. But nothing a gatorade and quick snack couldn’t remedy. 😉
Weekends often fly by when your having fun, especially this past weekend as I attended a Men’s Retreat.
I kicked off this past weekend by getting on the road and heading to T Bar M Camps & Retreats for my home church’s, Mosaic Church Austin, annual Men’s Retreat.
I managed to escape Austin’s nightmarish traffic to head south to New Braunfels, Texas.
In route, I spotted quite a few domains being advertised across various media that I’ll likely write about in the coming weeks and months.
Today’s post leaves me scratching my head for a number of reasons I’m soon to mention.
My family and I were in route home from a filling dinner when I spotted a domain on the back of a car.
I maneuvered lanes of traffic to get closer to read the back of the car.
It was hard to make out, but I was able to make out a domain with hyphens and a phone number.
It’s heating up in Texas, and things are getting quite active around Volente Beach.
As I work the days away, I often see party buses to and fro with intense beach laughter and frolicking.
There’s a bit more loud music playing throughout the day than the norm, and the marina island is always packed with a party barge or two in full effect.
Truth be told, it’s quite a refreshing view to experience new ownership spicing things up around the sleepy village of Volente.
